LÉON Unveils Her Intimate Side in Stripped Back 'Live from the Village (Acoustic)'

Swedish singer-songwriter goddess LÉON stunned us with her gorgeous self-titled debut album in March, and she has already been busy in the studio creating her latest EP, LÉON - Live from the Village (Acoustic). There are simply not enough words in the universe to describe LÉON's signature indie pop sound, which has been stripped back in this EP, allowing her exceptionally rich voice to shine. With two professional musicians as parents, LÉON's entire world has been influenced by music since the day she was born. Her masterful songs demonstrate her extensive experience, and she has created some of our favorite songs.

LÉON kicks off  Live from the Village (Acoustic) with the heart rendering "You and I." The aching ballad reaches toward her ex-lover and her refusal to let go. Despite breaking up, there is an undying connection that neither can shake, resulting in a complicated game of longing from afar. Hearing her passionate voice with just a guitar somehow makes this already emotional song even more powerful. Not only did she perform "You and I" at the legendary Village, she visited our rooftop and blessed us all with her sensational voice too:

Following the romantically confusing "You and I" comes the introspective "Come Home To Me." LÉON is aware of the wrong-doings she commits in her relationship, but it works for her. She loves her relationship and knows everything will turn out alright in the end. She believes she is destined to be with her lover, and they always return home to each other.

Live from the Village (Acoustic) concludes with the melancholic "Pink." It's almost impossible to not shed a tear while listening to her final acoustic offering. LÉON's soulful voice reaches deep within her soul with breathy pleads for her lover to recognize her love and leave his current booty call, Stephanie. She releases all her pain through beautiful but equally distressed runs, showcasing her range and desperate heartache. We are one song away from banging down her ex's door, kicking Stephanie out, and letting LÉON have her man.
