Sasha Sloan Battles with Her Inner "Thoughts" Through Utterly Soothing Melodies

It's been half a year since we last heard from our favorite "sad girl," Sasha Sloan in her 2018 EP, Loser, but we've now learned that she's been preoccupied in the recording studio working tirelessly on brilliant new tunes. Sloan's first taste of the music industry saw her penning songs for big name artists like Camila Cabello and Dua Lipa, but she eventually launched her solo career in 2017 with her fantastic debut single, "Ready Yet." Ahead of her tour with Ones To Watch pop rockstars LANY, Sloan has unveiled her emotive new track, "Thoughts."

Produced by King Henry, "Thoughts" features low-fi electronics paired with Sloan's irresistible vocals that are truly one of a kind. Sloan exposes her inner battles with self-confidence and self-deprecation as she allows herself to be exceptionally vulnerable in "Thoughts." This slow-tempo tune is 100% characteristic of the "Sad Girl Sloan" persona we've all come to love and appreciate, and we absolutely can't wait to see what else this incredible songstress has in store.

Alternating between a grainy camcorder and more advanced camerawork, the "Thoughts" music video sees Sloan singing the song with hesitation and doubt in her eyes. Whether she's debating a party or karaoke, Sloan doesn't hide her nerves from us as she paces back and forth and waits cautiously at a door before entering the social gathering that has her sitting outside alone.
