Tall Heights Gives Us "Keeps Me Light" in Their "Alive and Tactile" Era [PREMIERE]

Ones To Watch is excited to exclusively premiere Tall Heights' new single, "Keeps Me Light." From the Boston duo that brought us "Spirit Cold" and "Horse to Water," "Keeps Me Light" arrives as a beautiful, emotive piece celebrating the safety and comfort that love can be.

Paul Wright and Tim Harrington, the talents behind Tall Heights, started making music together in high school and have been diligently touring with no signs of stopping. They opened for Ones To Watch alum Judah and the Lion on their 'Going To Mars' tour in 2018, in conjunction with fellow Ones To Watch - favorite Colony House. Clearly in our family, we are thrilled to premiere this new release.

In thinking about the purpose of their art, Tim Harrington explains that they lead with their hearts, sharing,

"No matter when you're creating - culturally, politically, environmentally - the only thing that endures is something that is art across all borders and times. It needs to first and foremost be a thing that's worthy of consumption on an emotional level. Anyone can make a comment on something with their words, but the things that last are the things that inexplicably capture your heart."

Tall Heights's sophomore album, Pretty Colors For Your Actions, was recorded with a live band in-studio. As you'll hear in this single, they've stepped back from the synthetic, production-heavy sounds of their first album. They tease "something much more alive and tactile," while still capturing the distinct, singular sound they have committed to throughout their discography. That is certainly proven true in "Keeps Me Light." Featuring Wright and Harrington's crooning harmony, the single's soft build is topped only by the emotive a capella portion that matches the depth of its lyrics.

Check out Tall Heights "Keeps Me Light" below, and (spoiler alert) look out for more from the band very soon!
