Feng Is Living For Anything But a 9 to 5 in "J*b"

The dread of clocking in is a universal suffering, even if you’re a young and life-hungry rockstar like Feng. His latest single, “J*b,” is an ode to every person counting down the minutes until they’re free from the shackles of employment, a cursed blessing with no boundaries or room to expand.

“I’m clocking out at 5PM, why they think I wanna stay? / Why they calling up my phone, I’m like ‘Why you call my phone? / I’m chillin’ at my home so can you just leave me alone?’”

Offering your life force in exchange for money to sustain survival can feel like an unfair trade, especially when there’s something out there that truly moves you. Through “J*b,” Feng offers an anthem for every person awaiting the weekend to defrost, to shake off the stagnancy of working a job you hate in order to get back to the fire that sets your soul ablaze.

A vital voice to emerge from the UK underground rap scene, the Croydon native is on a winning streak. The 19-year-old has garnered over two million monthly listeners on Spotify and holds one of the most anticipated sets at this upcoming Rolling Loud, marking his US festival debut. With that, “J*b” is officially cueing his upcoming debut album Weekend Rockstar, which fans are anticipating to be a marking of territory. Actively dropping through his very own label Regularisperfect, he holds a vision of longevity for his career, making careful steps towards an untainted legacy.
