iKeda’s latest release is a carefree electro-pop thrill that feels tailor-made for all the unbothered women out there. Built on contagious chants, a Y2K club atmosphere and shimmering melodies, “Go!” emanates “getting ready with your girls” energy, capturing that shared sense of hype and support women naturally bring out in one another.

London-born artist iKeda is a true creative renaissance woman, blending music, visual art, fashion and performance into a singular artistic vision. After studying at Central Saint Martins, she developed a hands-on approach to every element of her passion, shaping everything from her sound and imagery to creative direction and styling. iKeda’s eclectic influences span British surrealist storytelling, Jamaican culture, dancehall, electroclash and theatrical spectacle, resulting in a world that is both extravagant and grounded in authenticity. Following early collaborations with Babymorocco, the release of her debut EP Pretty Little Problem and supporting PinkPantheress on her UK/EU tour, iKeda has been steadily amplifying her supporters’ excitement for her upcoming sophomore EP, Bangs N Braces. This anticipation is only growing on her newest single off that EP, “Go!”

Certain tracks heighten the sensual undertones and explicit lyrics to deliver an overpowering, sometimes exaggerated, form of confidence. iKeda has no need for these extra steps. When she lures out, “I’ve got swagger,” you believe her. Not only is it effortless, but it’s resolute. There’s no second-guessing that she is, in fact, “that girl.” iKeda burns bright with self-certainty through an infectious sense of fun, never taking herself too seriously. That’s how you know someone is completely at peace in their own skin and mind.

Her happy-go-lucky, yet siren-like layered “na na na’s” plant the growing energy in your bones, and all of a sudden you’re filled with the urge to order your Uber to get to the club. Lines like, “I wanna walk in the room and act like you’re not even there / I wanna channel my confidence into one little hair / I wanna use that hair to clone myself thirty times,” showcase a playful self-assuredness that is beyond charming, immediately putting a smirk on your face — her confidence making you remember your own. “Go!” is bold without feeling out of reach, conveying a radiating level of self-admiration that feels genuinely uplifting instead of gloating.

iKeda is already mastering the flash of the electro-pop genre, so much so that the infusion of Caribbean-inspired bass beats bends the genre without feeling out of place. Instead, it’s an intentional, exciting exploration within her sound that makes her a compelling standout in the scene. The glitch details sparkle in your ear as the musicality further pushes you into the early 2000s realm of divas. You find yourself hallucinating the purple and pink strobe lights as you feel the thumping bass in your chest while dancing in front of your mirror.

With the momentum of her upcoming EP, Bangs N Braces, already building, “Go!” is a single that captures this build-up perfectly. iKeda injects her eclectic energy into it, resulting in an anthemic track brimming with a distinct self-assuredness that is sure to mark the next chapter in her ever-evolving artistic journey.
