Is it possible to feel secondhand love? Because that is exactly what Role Model's latest single, "if jesus saves, she's my type," is doing to me. Seriously - I think my heart is repeatedly melting and mending itself every time I listen to the song and watch its music video.

"if jesus saves, she's my type" is about the power of a woman, serving as a direct mirror to the femme fatale at the heart of Role Model's previous release "death wish." While "death wish" highlights how love can be potentially destructive, "if jesus saves, she's my type" acts as its optimistic antagonist, exploring all the whimsical emotions that come with a fairy tale love.

The track utilizes infectious indie-pop production, with pop guitars, earworm drums, and stacked harmonies, as Role Model sings about his dream girl. Towards the end of the track, he asks "Would she have me walking down the streets singing like this?" followed by some hums. Then, he adds, "Then she'd join in and we’d start singing together," and is accompanied by a female vocalist. "if jesus saves, she's my type" feels like meeting someone for the first time and feeling like you've known them forever.

Accompanying the release of "if jesus saves, she's my type" is its official music video directed by Dylan Knight. Taking place in a beautiful church lit by sunlight and smiles, we watch Role Model take the center stage and preach to the churchgoers about his special someone. In the middle of dreaming about his girl, she walks through the doors, and eventually, the whole church is dancing together in a celebration of their love. The visuals bring the song to life perfectly; it will leave your heart fluttering away to cloud nine.

"if jesus saves, she's my type" will be featured on Role Model's upcoming debut album Rx, set to release this Spring.
